For Students

Student Giving

Your time as a student at Rhode Island College is full of rich memories and wonderful experiences that will last a lifetime. The quality of your education and all the opportunities you receive here directly relate to annual contributions from alumni, parents and friends of the college. Students continue the tradition of paying it forward through individual gifts, fundraising, and volunteerism.

As a student, you may not think you’re in a position to make a difference through charitable giving. But, every gift, no matter the size, has a real impact on changing the course of someone’s life. Your gift also helps boost Rhode Island College in national rankings, such as U.S. News & World Report’s Best Colleges list. No matter what part of the college you choose to support, you’ll be advancing Rhode Island College on its path to becoming the institution of choice here in New England and beyond.

Senior Class Gift

As a member of the Class of 2020, you will have the opportunity to earn a unique philanthropy cord to wear during the commencement ceremony featuring our college colors. The philanthropy cord recognizes your commitment to supporting the College, giving back to your community, and investing in the future through the Senior Class Gift.

Becoming part of this tradition shows that the Class of 2020 is a class that values the education they’ve received.

  • Carries the same RIC spirit of past RIC classes.
  • Believes in reaching out in order to give back and help future students, so they have access to the same opportunities you did.
  • Believe that what they care about can change the world.

Seniors that make a gift of $10 or more will receive Philanthropy Cords to be recognized at commencement. Make a gift, and show your #RICspirit today!
